A Chinese twist on GPS navigation

Not too many days pass without a mention in the news about counterfeiting and China. What isn't mentioned much is that Chinese companies often 'borrow' technology and designs from other Chinese companies. If you buy a cheap motorbike from company B that 'borrowed' the design from company A (who's motorbike is more expensive since the design cost money) the motorbike will most likely still work fine for you. If however you are riding your new motorbike and pull out a cheap GPS navigation device (who's maps are counterfeit) you may be in a bit of a problem.
