That's going to leave a mark

Has a celebrity ever intentionally had surgery to try to get better P.R.? Lindsay Lohan is in the news again, this time because she is going to have surgery. Apparently she needs an appendectomy. I wonder how big a scar that leaves, and would you tip the surgeon and nurses if it ended up being a really small scar? She's too young to stop wearing bikinis, but I suppose there are other surgeons to help out with those types of cosmetic problems. I enjoyed Ms. Lohan in A Prairie Home Companion and certainly hope she gets through the surgery with the tiniest scar possible.
