High Oil Prices Are Good For The Environment

Environmentalists must love ever higher oil prices. Every dollar higher makes solar and wind look that much better to government and industry. Go ahead oil traders and oil producing countries, enjoy your profits now (thank China and India for the explosion in demand for oil, causing much of this price increase). As soon as the next president is in office, expect an exponential increase in solar and wind tax breaks, rebates, and research. Of course, the airlines are still going to be screwed until demand for oil levels off and prices start to go back down. But be hopeful, the environment will get better because of all this.
