Steve Jobs and the Keynote
A huge deal was made over the announcement that Steve Jobs will not be giving the keynote at the upcoming Macworld Expo in San Francisco. What no one is talking or writing about is the possibility that Jobs will still appear at the keynote. It is 90 minutes and a few important Apple people are always called up to the stage to talk about a specific this or that. Jobs, being CEO, could be called to the stage to make a big product announcement, a big product revision (the iMac and especially the Mac Mini are likely candidates), a ship date for Snow Leopard, or just a pep talk for the coming year. Times aren't so good right now and having the CEO give a quick talk about the coming year can be nothing but a good thing.
